Daily Photography 2020-10-19

Daily Photography 2020-10-19. On October 19, 2020, I embarked on my daily photography journey, taking advantage of my trusty macro lens and the unique beauty of Southern California. As I meandered through my neighborhood, I noticed the intricacies of nature that often go unnoticed. The dry, sun-kissed landscape of Southern California revealed its own subtle charm. In the arid terrain, I marveled at the delicate details of drought-resistant plants, capturing the intricate patterns of succulent leaves and the vibrant colors of resilient wildflowers. The brilliant, year-round sunshine cast a warm, golden glow on my subjects, making them appear as if they were basking in perpetual summer. Each photograph told a story of endurance and adaptation, reminding me that even in the seemingly barren, there’s a wealth of beauty waiting to be discovered, right in my own backyard.

Walk around the place you live, and find beauty.

Walk around the place you live, and find beauty.

Daily Photography was created by my lack of interest in making a thing. In the first place, it was a few months into the 2020-pandemic. And I was not feeling like making things.

As a solution, I decided to make a thing every day. And I took a camera on my daily walk. In fact, my plan was to make a thing daily.

In short, walking and taking pictures revived my connection to art. In addition I am now writing and recording music . Which is a thing I havent made in 20 years.

Daily Photography Walk 2020-10-18

Daily Photography Walk 2020-10-18. On the cool evening of October 18, 2020, I embarked on a peaceful stroll through the picturesque grounds of Cypress College with my camera in hand. My goal was to capture the subtle beauty concealed within the ordinary, and my lens was drawn towards the enchanting world of macro photography. Instead of seeking grand scenes or bustling crowds, I found myself mesmerized by the tiny wonders that often go unnoticed.

As I focused my camera on the minuscule details, I was amazed by the intricate patterns and textures that revealed themselves. The delicate veins of a fallen leaf, the iridescent sheen of a dew-kissed spider web, and the vibrant hues of a single flower petal became my subjects. Each click of the shutter was like peering into a hidden universe, one where the ordinary transformed into something extraordinary under the scrutiny of my lens.

This photographic journey through the microcosms of Cypress College was a reminder that beauty exists in the most unassuming places. It was a day when I celebrated the exquisite intricacies of nature every day, for it is within these small wonders that the magic of our world truly thrives.

Make a thing every day.
