2020 Portrait of John Stamos and family. Rather, a social distancing portrait of the Stamos family. In the first place is a photograph I have been thinking about for some time. And John knew this. Therefore when he text me to come over to the house to make this picture I was ready. When in fact my camera gear was not ready.

In other words, my lens on my brand new (used) Linholf 4×5 was not the right focal length. And I was having a lensboard problem with the lens that was supposed to replace it. Eventually, I used a Bronica ETRS with some Tri-x film.

And a really great thing happened. I got to visit my friend. Further, his house was my first post shelter in house. Even though a new shelter in was ordered a few weeks later.

At last, 2020 Portrait of John Stamos and family. In a word, my first chance to make a 2020 Family Portrait. And to this, I owe thanks to my old friend and his wonderful wife.

By the way John Stamos got me my start in photography way back in 1982.

Curt Bisquera Recording Your Own Drums. In the first place Curt Bisquera is a world class drummer. In fact he is one of a handful of elite studio drummers. And when Curt is not in a studio he is touring with the biggest names in music.

Incidentally, this talk was recorded in 2020. And the world is currently dealing with Covid-19. Further, the music community is strongly affected by a lack of work. Additionally, all major touring is shut down. To say nothing of the cruise ship and small club work. Indeed all musicians are making music alone.

At any rate, this music shutdown has forced drummers to engineer their own tracks. And for some this may be the first time. Consequently Curt Bisquera has a agreed to share some of his secrets.
